Coverage varies depending on the consistency you choose. 1 jar does approximately 7-10 sq ft;  a large square side table for example.

To use clean your piece to make sure it is cleared of loose dirt or wax. Mix 3 to 3.5 parts water to 10 parts Clay Paint Blend.  Whip or mix it to desired consistency.  Firmer if you want more texture and body, more water if you want a smoother look. 

Use a metal scraper, spatula or trowel to apply your paint coat. To smoothen further use a damp firm sponge with one way or circular light weight strokes before it dries. Allow to dry 12-24 hours.  If you missed a spot or want it smoother proceed to sand with 120 to 220 grit sand paper after it has dried fully.

Clay paint dries lighter than it’s wet look.  Leave as is for a lighter look, or if your project will be in contact with fluids OR you’d like to bring out the colour a bit more seal it with a top coat.
